SOLD OUT! Top-Down-In-the-Round Sweater Course (virtual, real-time)
Are you ready to knit a sweater? Not just any sweater, but a sweater that will fit you the way you want it to. If so, you are in luck – this class is for you.
The sessions will be offered via Zoom, in real time, and from the comfort of your home.
The Hippie Wreath is a super sweet, fun to knit top down in the round sweater with Fair Isle details. It is the perfect all-weather sweater. In this class we will cover:
- How to take your measurements
- Size selection, based on size
- Top down, in the round construction of a yoke style sweater
- Short Rows
- Chart reading
- Fair Isle techniques
- Increases/Decreases
- So much more!
Skill level: Very advanced beginner/Intermediate

Supplies:
Pattern: Hippie Wreath by Annie Lupton (available for in-store purchase via Ravelry)
Yarn: Worsted weight in 2 colors. See pattern for yardage. Suggested yarn for class: Remix
Needles: 3 sizes based on yarn selection. The size recommended by the yarn and then, 1 size smaller and 1 size larger.
General knitting supplies: Stitch markers (for repeats) and a beginning of round marker, stitch holder, scissors, measuring tape, gauge ruler, tapestry needle. Needed by Class 3: a means of tracking rows.
Cost: This class is six, two-hour sessions for $160, plus supplies.

Note: If the yarn you want to use isn’t yet in stock, you really only need one color for the swatch and Class 1.
- Watch “What to expect in your on-line class” video (sent to students approximately 1 week prior to the first session)
- Prepare your swatch. Instructions on swatch preparation will also be sent with the above-referenced video.

Supplies:
Pattern – Butterfly Cowl by MarinjaKnits
Yarn – 2 fingering weight yarns. Contrast color (CC), approx. 70 yards solid or tonal. Main color (MC), approx. 96 yards in self-striping or variegated. Good use of mini-skeins and/or left over sock yarn. You do want contrast in your yarn selection. Instructor is using Perennial Caribbean #350 for CC and Perth Yarra River #101 for MC.
Needles: US 2/2.75 mm or size to obtain gauge. If you want to try magic loop, then you will need a 40”/100 cm length or longer. If you don’t care to try magic loop, then you need a 24”/60 cm or 32”/80 cm.
Stitch markers: One type or color for border and spine (qty 4); locking marker (qty 1); several other stitch markers not of the same color and/or type as other markers used in this project.
Notions: General knitting supplies such as a tape measure, scissor, tapestry needle.
Recommended but not required: Highlighter markers of two different colors. Highligher tape, pattern board or some other means of row tracking other than a row counter.
